Price Increases

As you are all well informed of the on going situation regarding oil prices, it won't be too much of a shock to see prices increasing all around us. With the added pressure of additional wage costs and business rates increasing to name just two, we have increased our prices by 5% on all products (except on a few fly cultures). This increase is just an annual increase to cover all additional costs that in most likelihood will not be returning to normal once the oil crisis has been resolved. I have outline a few of the increases below to be as transparent as possible.

We have secured a deal with the Royal Mail to keep the price of the Tracked 24 service (Express Service) the same until November, however Tracked 48, and Special Delivery prices did increase. The only increases are surcharges applied to Fuel Costs which are currently at 11% raising to 16% on the 3rd of May 2026. We will monitor those costs and apply those as a surcharge to postage costs on the website if we are unable to absorb the cost. Any surcharges will be removed once the Royal Mail reduce them.

Foam Bungs - Love them or hate them, they are increasing by 22% - We have 40,000 of those in stock, and I hope by the time the increase comes into effect the oil crisis will be settled.

Culture Cups / Pots - In April the cost increased by 3.9%, and in May this will increase to 9.8% with our supplier stating that pricing will be reviewed monthly. Luckily these increases are being applied as surcharges which indicated that they will be reduce in the future. 

Cost of raw ingredients has yet to filter through to use. During covid / living crisis period a while back the cost of our main ingredient doubled and we absorbed this cost ourselves, I hope that any increases regarding ingredients will not be as harsh this time.
